Artists talk with the artists and invited guest, Berlin based artist Ulrika Segerberg

Something happens when you move from your usual context and become a stranger in a city. New thoughts and ideas might take form; old ones might be renewed and deepened.
Camilla Engman, Carina Fihn and Pia Mauno have been sharing the experience of being artists in residence at Atelierhaus Mengerzeile in Berlin. They have lived and worked there for three months, although at different time.

In the exhibition Vorhang/ Ridå all their works have a starting point in this stay.
The title Vorhang means here a spatial condition, something that is hidden, while giving expectations of being showcased. Vorhang is a boundary forming new rooms both physical and mental.
The artists share a common interest for philosophical, psychological, and subconscious stories as well as material properties as a fundamental part of the storytelling.
